Back at last, for 6 WEEKS!!!!

WOOHOO~~~~
back at home at last!!!!yipee~~~

this marks the beginning of my 6 weeks semester break~~~

gonna bake a huge batch of cream cheese and chocolate tarts with my sis tomorrow(she's skipping school~~). Hope the end product is up to expectations.

gosh, i seriously feel so energized to do some serious baking man!!! hah, was actually surfing the web for simple recipes to try out, Ranging from tarts, muffins, cookies, breads....etc.

Yeap, i'm officially on BAKING MODE!!! hehe.....

ohoh, not forgetting SPM~~~gosh, i'm actually going for SPM again....
yea, yea, some people here willingly registered for the mandarin subject early this year since she didn't want all those Mandarin tuition fees and effort to be wasted just like that....
so, apart from Baking, the most important thing should be INTENSE REVISION on Mandarin language~~~

SPM and FRESH OVEN BAKES, here i come!!!!!

finals unofficially over~~~

okay, you guys must be asking why the word 'unofficially' rite??

since BIO paper today marks the end of 'exam which involves subjects that need to be studied', i personally declare that exam is OVER!!!!!Though in reality, there's one more paper to go on Monday---IELTS

okay, i'm not saying that English does not need preparation here. But since this particular IELTS test is only a college based assessment, which does not really affect my overall gred since it's not the real IELTS exam....so, it's human nature to put it on the not-so-important list right?? Furthermore, i'm only having the listening and reading component which can't really be prepared.....
well, hah, i should just skip the explanation part right from the start~~LOL

Anyway, TIME FLIES!!!!REALLY! yea, i know i've mentioned this many times, but i'm always getting this feeling~~~just before this, all of us were still studying our butts off for the final exam, and now it's kinda over!! And semester break is already around the corner!!! Woohoo~~~that's the best news man!!!

preparing for finals

whoosh~~~

all those days of rushing and pushing for assignments datelines, preparing for presentations are all over for this semester
so now, it's time to concentrate for the ultimate FINALS!!!

speaking of that, my finals schedule is super 'lose'
as in, there is exam today then followed by a rest day, that kind of style
well, some might smile contentedly since we'll have ample time for serious last-minute study..
however, this style also means exam period is for the whole 2 weeks for just 6subjects~~~
shorter but packed or longer but less tensed??
ummmm.....

short update

is currently on a healthy diet once again!!!

no more living on bread and biscuit entirely ever since bringing in a rice cooker from ipoh ~~

whipping up some really easy and surprisingly delicious home-cooked meals whenever time is on my side ^_^

from various flavours of porridge( this is a super flexible dish i tell you, almost anything can be added in!!!) to soups, to stir-fry vegetables and simple omelets~~~
guess that i'm eventually gonna cook up a storm here?! LOL....

anyway, cooking is not anywhere near troublesome as many assumed it to be. With a little effort, a simple yet tantalizing dish can be produced in no time!!! yea, looks like i'm kinda encouraging people to start cooking eh??

so, apart from issues in the kitchen, life is still loaded with enormous amounts of assignments, test, quizzes, pop quiz(oh, i hate that one the most!!). However, everything is going on smoothly(hope that it'll continue this way shall we??), and i'm managing life here pretty well.

oh, not forgetting to mention that i bump into JAMIE in City Harvest yesterday. It was really enjoyable to be able to see someone you know from high school after such a long time!!! Will be seeing much of her i hope since i'll be attending CH constantly when i'm in Shah Alam. Really enjoyed the lively worship and powerful sermons there!!! Nothing beats experiencing God's presence from my heart and knowing that he's always by my side, supporting and carrying me whenever i fall~~~

God is good, All the time!!!

Hectic~~~

It's been all about quizes, tests and assignments for the past 2 weeks...

bURRYING MYSELF IN BOOKS AND DUGGING MY WAY OUT AGAIN...lol

hah, anyway

glad that it's all over!!! For now at least...

Guess what??

Hari Raya HOLIDAYS are approaching!!!
counting down~~~

Have been buying dinner from the nearby Ramadhan Bazaar these few days
seriously, i'm really impressed at the amount and varieties of food there
gosh, especially the mouth-watering malays kuih!!!!

Ah~~~~indeed, the temptation of food is hard to resists!!!!

Watch your waistline gurl!!

First Home-Cooked Meal *super proud*

hey hey hey

guessed what, i finally came out with some cooked and edible food here!! *hoorays*

well, it wasn't anywhere near lavish, high-class, glamorous lar

but then, hey!! i cooked!!

Ta-da: Healthy steamed-egg!!!
P/S :for those rolling ur eyes or in the midst of LOLing, stop it!!

A simple, hearty and healthy meal~~

The Ingredients : tomato, egg and mushroom
Working on the tomato~~
all prepared~~~

mix,mix,mix!!!

off you go into the rice cooker (working as the steamer)~~~hah

done!!

yummy~~~
for those wondering about salt or anything to enhance the taste,
THERE'S NONE!!!

see, nothing is impossible without salt!!!haha, actually, there wasn't any...that's why...hah

anyway, the final product was amazingly good
thanks to the tomato that gave it a natural sweet and sour taste
of course, it would be better with some meat and seasoning!!!

Till the nest time~~~

There's a reason for "Home Sweet Home"

Gosh, i'm seriously becoming more and more attached to my home sweet home~~~

Feeling more and more eager to go home each time there's a chance,
and of course feeling more and more reluctant to return to campus each time it's time to go!!

Those doing Form6, APPRECIATE these time(while you still can) with your families!! Being close to home, or to be at home, it's like the best moment in life,
for me at least....

Just came back to Shah Alam and i'm already missing my family!!!

Darn!!

Next stop: Raya Holidays=Go HOME again!!! woohoo~~~

hah!!

kays, enough of crap here...
better start doing my piled assignments and be geared-up for revision!!!
Exam is just around the corner!!!
Yikesss....

a new place, a new beggining

i've moved, to another room

indirectly leaving my past, by concentrating on the present and looking into the future.

though the past is definitely unforgettable, yet dwelling in it will not make me move forward.

let the past be a memory, a lesson and a reminder
for what the future holds for me is still uncertain

thanks for bearing with me all this while,
now, you guys can live more comfortably

Again, sorry is all that i can say,
for i'm still yearning for forgiveness....

Saturday, August 15, 2009

everthing is out

Phew.......
At last, i was able to gather all the courage that was left in me to CONFESS

the feeling of guilt, dirty, sinful, rejected has been haunting me all these time

of course, i'm clearly aware that what has been done, can't possibly be undone, the damage, the pain, the feeling of betrayal
is not that easy for one to bear with,
for that, forgiveness takes time

Hearing whispers behind my back is indeed very uncomfortable,
but i know i should be prepared, for what i've commited is not something that is acceptable to most
It is a great sin, a crime after all

However, i'm praying for a second chance
to prove not only to others, but most importantly, myself
that i've repented, and willing to change for the better

To those whom i've failed and hurt,
I know that a simple 'sorry' is not enough
but 'sorry' is what i can tell you now, very sorry
for my foolish act, my lack of determination to fight against the temptation of the devil and the unwise decisions i've made

I can assure you,
that through this, a lesson was learnt,
though it came by the hard way to make me realise how deep i've falled into the pit of sin

and, thanks for others whom are still willing to stay by my side
to support and encourage me
through this times of trials

I've repent, see me change,
then judge me again.....

gimme my mid-sem break

please, please, PLEASE!!!!!!!

let the mid-sem break be on~~~~

please, please, PLEASE!!!!!!

do not cancel it~~~~

after the 1 week 'durian runtuh' holidays which most of us here enjoyed(of course!!no doubt ^_^), there's a 'maybe' that we would not be getting our original scheduled holiday....nooooo......

ah, there's always a price to pay for something unexpected eh??!!

so, do not take things for granted....

anyway, I WANT MY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Continuing

first of all, forgive mua for not posting further updates regarding my previous post. *sorry*

INTEC IS CLOSED DOWN FOR 1 WEEK

so of course it's related to H1NI. But there's no cases in our campus i think, it's the main campus which is involved. However, necessary safety precautions is needed to curb the outspread.
So, all students got a 1 week holiday suddenly!!

that's the major news i was talking about. it doesn't seemed so major now already right??

classes are gonna resumed on the 3rd of August, which is next monday. For people out there whom are figuring out my whereabouts now, i'm at home, home sweet home~~

well, i'm gonna head back to Shah Alam early tommorow morning by train....Gosh, Sat and Sun tickets were all sold out!!! Seems like train service is really gaining popularity huh?!

And, i went to watch Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince ALONE!!! saddening huh?? However, i kind of enjoyed this experience of watching a movie alone though~~
the verdict??
um, well..... the movie was more focused on emotions, relationship, especially LOVE. So, there isn't much battling scene. I enjoyed the humor scenes a lot(just looking at Ron's facial expression is enough to make a hearty laugh =E) and i cried like mad when 'somebody' died. (trying not to spoil the suspense for those whom have yet to watch the movie....but i believe that most of you already know right??)

till the next time~~~

ciao

OMG!OMG!OMG!

after causing major havoc around the world, it's finally relating itself to me!!!!

gosh~~~

following the news, a few uitm have been closed down due to it's outspread....

and now, INTEC is involved?!!

gonna go into details when the official news is released.... don't wanna cause unnecessary worries and troubles....

STAY TUNE!!!!

another boring day

woohoo, i'm blogging in the middle of my Computer Studies class~~~

Anyway, phone is back and functioning. So pals, zhiying is contactable again *yeah~~*

well, well, nothing really spectecular is happening around here
everyday's routine is almost the same
it's as if my life is replaying itself each day...LOL

For a short update about things here,
INTEC is having INPRO, kind of like a sports event where students from different courses compete among themselves....
am i one of them?? Nah, tennis is not one of the choices anyway
and this week is German Week~~~
there's some german movies playing but i've yet to watch them....
aiya, those are not my cup of tea, not now at least

Ah, one more thing
did anyone of you manage to watch the partial solar eclipse that is said to be viewable this morning??
i couldn't even catch a glimpse of it, all thanks to the cloudy weather =(

Gosh, my post are becoming more and more BORING eh??
shall try to post some pics next time to lighten up this place =)

thats all for now~~
shall end this before i get caught o.0

communication cut off

Bad news : my phone BROKE-DOWN!!!
what a convenient time for that~~~

so, zhiying would not be using her phone for a month, of course this is just the worst case scenario la....
hopefully i wouldn't have to opt to send my phone back to Ipoh for the repairing job

so friends, don't even bother to call/miss call/sms me yea, since there wouldn't be a positive outcome =(

The air here is getting really bad, really really bad....
seems like the HAZY season is back for the year...
even after a quite heavy downpour this morning, the haze is still hardly unnoticeable, making every object around blur and insignificant suddenly...

my poor lungs, my poor skin~~~

And,and,and,
i just got my assignment for computer studies
-create and design an advertisement for a product-
okay, it may seems to be an easy job for those computer pros,
but i'm practically crying for help??!!
anyway, our group decided to promote 'floating houses'...
wishing for the best now!!!

Haizzzz....

weekend at home

nothing beats the opportunity of being able to spend the weekends at home, seriously NOTHING
though it's just a mere two days, but those 2 days meant a lot to me
having home-cooked food, spending time with my family, watching the tv at last after 2 weeks *laughs*

Hari anugerah was enjoyable indeed,
stepping into my alma mater once again, reminiscing those wonderful and precious memories
meeting peers, close friends, trying my best to catch-up with their current life
some are striving hard in Form 6 while others seems to be enjoying college life a lot

Nevertheless, all of us agreed on one thing : Secondary school life was indeed the best among all.
Though studies could be very stressful at times (with a minimum of 10 subjects kay, what do you aspect??), but we had our joyful moments, with schoolmates and also sporting teachers~~

And yet, it's a nature for us to appreciate when it's over, gone, and never coming back to us, for us

Back to life in INTEC!!!!

Classes had been going on for a while now. And yeap, assignments are coming to get us already.

Well, frankly speaking, i'm getting kinda used to the lifestyle here *thank god*
getting up in the morning for breakfast, going on the bus for a ride to the campus, shivering in the fully air-conditioned classroom, grabbing free Sun newspaper in the library if possible......

that's all for now, gotta get going to do some research for the latest essay~~

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Orientation *again*

since orientation is practically a must in all colleges and universities, it's kind of obvious my 1st week here is and will be all about that

Frankly speaking, orientation here is way, way better and relaxing compared to what i've gone through in matriculation earlier.
Well, facilitators do not scold or lecture us, no extreme sports whom will eventually lead us to cleanliness disaster-the only event that made us really sweat was aerobic dance. Mentioning bout aerobic, gosh, i really need to salute the male instructor. He kind of did those dance movements which are quite feminine right in front of us!!! he even shuffled man~~~ o.O

Well, orientation here is kind of tiring too. Since we only manage to catch about 5hr of sleep each night.

there's talks, perjumpaan with the penaja, LDKs, etc....One more aspect that outwit matrics is that they supply us with food during the orientation week. So, no going-hungry-during-orientation anymore ^_^

Uh, need to get back to the dewan after at 2, so i'll be going now. Anyway, it's already amazing to be able to blog during orientation week!!! LOL...

HAH

Going Off Again

After 2 weeks of 'extreme' rest (for the body, mind and soul), 'school' or rather 'college' is back in my vocabulary, and is gonna stick there for quite sometime

It seems just like those times where i'm packing for matriculation a-month-and-a-half ago. Well, the only difference is that i'll be heading to Shah Alam instead of Pahang. Packing was indeed a lot easier, since i'm practically 100% prepared and sure of what to bring there =) And of course, the LOAD 'grew' by size and weight~~~ Hah

The thought of going somewhere to study again really brings back fond memories of those times in KMPh. ' How are you guys doing there??" Hope that everything is going on smoothly. And, and, and.... I'M REALLY MISSING YOU PEOPLE!!!!! Gosh, it's been 2 long weeks since we've last meet each other!!! We used to meet everyday you know, imagine~~~ *sobs*

Yea, i'm kind of mentally and physically prepared to go through the tiring-annoying-might be ragged-all time 'fav' orientation week since the last experience at KMPh. Bring it on man!!

will be heading to Shah Alam in the wee hours tomorrow.
'O Lord, please grant us a safety journey there and prevent us from getting lost.......Amen'

Last but not the least, Rest In Peace Michael Jackson. Though i'm not such a big fan of yours, but the world would and will be mourning for the loss of yet another legend in the music industry. You will always be remembered by millions out there, for your 'styled' songs, unique music videos and dance, the famous moonwalk(yeap, he's the creater) and of course, your seems-to-be-never-ending plastic surgeries(no offense MJ fans). Though you are gone now, your spirit will always be with the world, with your fans, with the music industry~~~

That all for now. Wish me the best people!!! ^0^

Braced

1 and a half years of my life would be entirely dedicated to braces from now onwards~~

After much nagging and persuading, my parents gave me the GREEN LIGHT to put on those metal piece at a private clinic ( I'm 100% sure the nurses in government clinics would shoo me off immediately, without even considering to put me on the LONNNNG waiting list) Nevertheless, the cost is only RM2000 for the whole process due to the generosity of a church member cum dentist!!

May god bless you abundantly!!!!Praise the Lord!! ^_^

Another piece of good news is that no tooth extraction is needed for my case~~Whee~~ So, no extra pain-blood-numbness-huge needle for me~~

Anyway, those metal pieces have been keeping me from eating and chewing properly for the last 2 days. And of course most of the epithelial cells in my inner mouth have been scraped off, well, at least there's no bleeding, yet. Haha, i shall cut down on the complaining part for beauty comes with a price right??!

No regrets~~~

updates that should have been posted

it's been a whole week since i'm back, to my beloved hometown-Ipoh

And of course, updates are finally here!!! to rejuvenate this partial-going-to-die blog

Update #1 ~ From Pahang to Pangkor

Back on Friday night from Pahang and immediately went down to Pangkor with some relatives the next morning.
Kudos to dad, whom drove, drove and drove endlessly....without complaining~~~haha
Anyway, pictures are the best description of all

starting the day with a bottle fresh of cow's milk

all time favorite seaside!!!
peacock bringing her children for a walk

Visited a small factory producing seafood snacks, dried seafood etc......

Visited a temple too

Next station : A historical place is the only thing i could recall~~~LOL

the younger generation

Four big happy families~~

just in time to catch the sunset~~~amazing view ^0^

went to have a soak in the sea

Update #2 ~ Dinner at Riche Montana Korean BBQ Buffet

Decided to give this newly opened restaurant a try with some ex-Sushi King colleagues.

Overall, food was moderate. With an ample amount of cooked food but limited choices for BBQ and steamboat. Comfortable environment, but prepare to be heated-up when barbecuing. Good service, with the BBQ pan being changed frequently. (Ours was changed trice without placing a request~~~Good job!!) Dessert was the usual ice-cream, with cakes and cookies too for those with a sweet tooth. Worth paying RM29.90 for this. ( well, try saving a whole RM5 by choosing to dine upstairs. Cons : Food is only available downstairs. So, climb the stairs shall we?! Pros : Save and exercise at the same time...)

As usual, can't help but stuffed myself till off limits resulting in a bloated stomach and weight gain??!! Oh no....

Update #3 ~ Star Walk

Being such a faithful supporter for all these years, of course i wouldn't miss such an 'historic' occasion. Though fully aware of the consequences : Definite muscle ache, especially on the leg~~~Yeap, this happens every year without fail. Ever heard that history repeats itself?? *laughs*

the expected huge crowd~~

the only foodie picture i managed to take.
100plus and milo went straight down my stomach. No time for pics~~~LOL

Update #4 ~ Medical Check-up

Mom forged out RM265 reluctantly just for a med check-up as required by JPA. Although it would be FOC if that was done in a government hospital......the only problem is that i would have to wait for a total 2weeks for that!!! And time is certainly running short as registration is this Sunday. The whole process was completed in just one day, without having to even wait at Fatimah.....

the condition of my right hand after an injection for TB test. Gosh, i was really shock at first to see my own skin swell up before my eyes and not forgetting to mention the pain that came with it. and i need to go back 72hr later to confirm whether i'm a positive or otherwise

since right is not available anymore, the nurse draw a quite an amount of blood from my left hand for the bloodtest. And again, i was dumbfounded when she filled two test tubes with my BLOOD, my precious BLOOD!!!!Sure enough, the pain was there too, but not enbeareable.

the condition of my left arm after removing the cotton. Spot the injected part~~ and the area around it became kinda bruised too.....

Scew HIM/HER

i seriously still can't believe this

OMG, I.LOST.MY.PHONE!!!!!

what the heck?!

Okay, i admit that it was my own fault, my forgetfulness whom eventually lead to this
but then, what the hell is wrong with people here??!!

when you spot a phone lying beside a bag,
well, one is supposed to either ignore it or being a kind person, assume that someone accidentally left it there, and hand it over to the lost and found corner

But then, morality in this society, in this campus itself is DEGRADING man

Gosh, some stuck-up-and-up-to-no-good 'animal' took my 3year old phone purposely and decided to keep it as his/her!!!
i came to this conclusion when i found out that my phone was deliberately turned-off, since i tried calling and hoped that a good Samaritan actually existed

i am totally HEARTBROKEN right now

please, let my phone come back to me...

i even send a sms stating that if you really want that phone, take it! but return my sim and memory card!!!!
Those are like the most important stuff for communication!!!
since a lazy me doesn't even bother to keep a back-up files for my contacts...
And, those really precious pictures....
ALL GONE!!!

Seriously, for the person whom took my phone and decided not to return it for good,
i hereby pray for you, that you matriculation life would be filled with 'challenges', with downs but no ups, with only tears but no joy, and with failure but no success
call me cruel if you want to, but whoever it is DESERVES IT!!

Well, the good news of the day is
I'M GOING HOME!!!
yeah man!!!

Officially leaving KMPh this afternoon, returning to ipoh tomorrow~~~

And i'm praying to get a new phone by today.
sorry mom and dad for planning to burn an hole in your pocket, but i'm really desperate for a phone~~~

to end this, i hereby declare that
Mong Zhi Ying's life in Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang comes to an end today
Last words : All the best to my fellow friends whom are still staying. Though life may not be the same without me ( perasan case ^^), continue to strive hard for success here, as success will only come knocking when effort is really put it. Remain joyous self and enjoy life here!!!
God bless all of you~~~
(except the one whom stole my phone of course. And yes, i'm not getting over this matter for the time being)

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Extended

Ah, i am supposed to be back in ipoh now~~~

And yet, here i am , blogging in KMPh (duh??)

Okay, lets not touch on the effectiveness of the gov doing their jobs-though this matter just involves a bloody simple and small letter
Let's not mention that zhiying still have not received her letter though it is stated clearly that they're sending it via post laju AND it's guaranteed to arrived by this week

So, due to some unresolved circumstances, Zhiying is still in Pahang, still eager to leave Pahang...

Anyway, i actually took the initiative to complete ALL the assignments, which include a super long physics practical report =D
haha, this can be considered as a big achievement for a person that is gonna leave and is totally not REQUIRED to finish those stuff
well, I can even skip lectures and tutorial classes if i want to...
but then, since these act will eventually ruin my so-called-good-student-image
self-control won the battle...LOL

Just took a physics test which involves Chap 1 and 2 the day before
guess what?? The test was actually held at 8.30pm~~~
My first ever experience of actually sitting for an exam at night~~~
haha, this can only be implemented in a boarding school right??
Then, the schedule for lectures and tutorial classes wouldn't be affected. No wonder the matriculation program only last for a year.....

Ohoh, not forgetting to mention that Lydia is contesting for JPP-Student's Representative Council!!!
Practically, the whole process is similar to the general election, just not as complicated
And, there was this pidato thingy for all candidates yesterday night
You should have seen Lydia giving her speech man
full with enthusiasm and she even got the crowd going!! Good job Lydia!!!
She even quoted this verse : DO NOT VOTE FOR ME, BUT VOTE WITH ME
as said my Mahathir or Badawi i guess...
whoa, perfect quote for the occasion ^0^
I 100% support you Lydia, and i shall cast my 'precious' vote before leaving, specially for you~~~hahaha

Monday, June 8, 2009

Counting the days

well, there's probably one or two days more before i leave KMPh

Since the unimaginable news, zhiying is becoming a super lazy bug~~~
Reluctant to finish tutorial homework, practical reports and even sits in lectures half absent minded....
okay, i declare that as a normal reflex reaction for all homo sapiens la....

yea, i can't wait to go home!!!!
praying : Oh lord, please....please let the JPA offer letter to arrive soon~~~
Hah, since parents have practically decided to 'fly' here immediately the next day upon receiving the letter to 'escort' me home...muahaha

Gosh, every thought in my mind now concerns HOME!!!
-will Doggie remember me after parting for a month?? He better do~~~~or else......
-ah, i can't wait to lay my hands on the-all-time-beloved hamsters!!!!
-at last, homely food after a month!!!!
-gonna catch up with some friends~~~

Thus, Zhiying is homesick again~~~~

By the way, there's this kinda weird trend about JPA scholarship this year.
It seems that those whom applied for accountancy and got the' dalam negara' scholarship but rejected it at first are offered to do accountancy again overseas. This result came out together with the rayuan one. And, those whom rejected it didn't have to appeal or whatsoever. So, it's really good news for some here as they didn't expect to be given a second chance!!!

Oh, i spent almost RM30 buying junks to treat all my tutorial mates, as a farewell gift i guess~~~though they wanted KFC initially
gosh, are they trying to burn a hole in my pocket or wat?!

Anyway, i'm sure to pack and bring with me loads of memories when i return later....
This is an essential part of live in which i couldn't and shouldn't possibly forget right??

Till the next time~~

Really leaving

As i lay awaken on my bed, exactly 6.45am-the latest i've ever slept till, my mind was still in a state of shock, trying to figure out was yesterday just a dream or indeed reality

Imagine the look on my face when the piece of news arrived without any warning, any specific clues. There, i stood still, almost dumbfounded in the middle of a pathway-unable to react for a whole 3sec.

" Hey, you got the JPA Scholarship after appealing......" the voice of mum rang excitedly over the phone after 13 unsuccessful calls to reach me.

Honestly, getting the JPA Scholarship has been at the bottom of my list since being left out the last time. Therefore, the chances of getting IT through appealing is VERY, very, very slim- well, unless you get yourself 'noticed' by making a fuss through a sort of renown newspaper.....

I actually told my mum to 'cut the crap', 'stop kidding with me'. That news seems too good to be true, and it still is!!!

Yea, so that's the news. JPA offered me to do Veterinary studies in Australia, in which i've to complete the required foundation in UITM Shah Alam first. Ohh, i'm now so excited in meeting Siaw Leng there~~~we get to study together again~~~

Well, after the excitement and joy eventually faded, i was suddenly overcome with sadness.

ZHI YING IS GONNA LEAVE MATRICULATION NEXT WEEK~~

though it's good i'm leaving for JPA, but i'll be leaving a lot behind too. Friendship that has developed and blossomed through the weeks that i've spent here, funny classmates, enjoyable lectures, the-same-old lunch everyday(i'm still crazy over tempe though i practically take them everyday), tennis and random jogs.....
not forgetting Physics which i've learned to enjoy and 'indulge'----ah, i'm gonna take biology there.....so bye-bye Physics *sobs*

Initially, i've gotten my heart, mind and soul set to finish the one year matriculation program. Even deciding not to attend the ASEAN Scholarship test in Penang. But unexpected things tend to happen at the least unexpected moment!!!

Okay, enough talking on JPA.

Gosh, my stomach is really protesting in hunger now!!! Hah, i've decided to fast today( together with a few friends)- the 1st of my life, but it's kind of a fasting-with-water event lar.... since i couldn't possibly imagine myself without water for even an hour, what more a day??!!

Thus, the most anticipated hour of the day is BUKA PUASA!!! haha

Monday, June 1, 2009

Leaving

Just as the title puts it, people are leaving....
me??certainly not!!!
But some friends which i had gotten really close too during the past 3weeks left, is and are gonna leave soon.

So there was Khiru, whom left For the matriculation in Gopeng(that's in Perak!!!) last week
And now Siaw Leng, leaving this wednesday(gosh, it's tomorrow) after receiving the official letter from JPA regarding the PILN thingy.

Hey girl, though your stay here was extremely short, but i'm certain that there'll be this big bucket of memories to bring back with. It has been a great pleasure knowing you, often spending the day together, going for jogs, lunch and dinner too. Well, all the best then in your future undertakings. I'm certain that you'll strive hard and remain your joyfull self in your journey to become a successful doctor!!! Dare not forget us, cause i'll certainly not forget you. All the sweet and sour memories that we've gone through together in the duration of three weeks in KMPh will be embedded in my heart, i give my word on that~~~

Okay, getting over issues on farewell, back to updates regarding life here.

As usual, the studying crowd continues while i'm actually indulging in stories book~~~crap!!!
And, it seems that all my roommates (yesh, three of them in total) are not only busy studying till midnight but early morning!!!!up to 1 to 2 am!!!!
And, eventually they do not bother to turn-off the main light. The result: Zhiying couldn't get enough sleep because the damn GLARING light keeps waking her up!!!!!!! &*%@#*%%&
I'm certainly getting myself those whatever-people-call-them to shed my poor eyes from that damn light thus getting sufficient sleep!!!!!!

And guess what??? I'm really , i mean really ENJOYING physics class. OMG, I still couldn't believe those words are coming out from my mouth. For a person whom once dreaded physics, and now totally attracted to it~~~whoosh~~~the rapid change. Well, seems that physics doesn't really need extrem memorising at all. Understanding is so much more important for this subject~~

Now, i'm longing for Friday cause........MY FAMILY WILL BE HERE(though i still prefer going back to Ipoh)!!!! gOSH, really can't wait to see them man!!!!!It's been almost a month since i've meet them . those clever people decided to enjoy their holidays here while visiting me~~~ what a 'brilliant' idea ~~~~

Well, that's all for this post. Gonna catch a tutorial class later. Will be back for more updates soon!!

Lessons started~~~

Practically, my timetable is really packed with lectures and tutorial. With some even ending as late as 5pm!!!

Honestly, this 'pre-U' life here as quoted by some of my friends is really something very, i mean VERY new for me.
Life here is totally different from daily schools~~~
Well, from kinder garden till primary till secondary school, having classes means sitting at your own place and WAIT for your teacher's arrival to start lessons.

But here, you have to walk, brisk walk and even run from one lecture hall to another or to the tutorial room for your next class. That's why life here is really hectic at times since all of us are always rushing here and there. Hah, a good chance to maintain fitness as well though~~

Lectures here are mostly quiet enjoyable and interesting, though some lectures are really superb boring (those whom read directly from the screen and do not bother to do extra elaborations). Um, homework have not really piled up yet since the semester just began.

One thing that is making me really stressed out is the fact that people are so used to studying anywhere, anytime. Gosh, this scene really freaks me out man!!! Since i'm still 'lenganging' here and there~~~

Actually, i personally feel that what we are studying here is almost the same as form 6. What actually makes matriculation programme more easier is that the study system here goes by semester. After one semester, you can focus and concentrate fully in your next semester. Those previous data in your brain can be totally wiped put after the 1st sem exam.

Okay, i'm actually wasting my lunch time blogging here....
To Zhi Hui : This IS NOT in the middle of an oil palm plantation!!! It's just located in a small town outside of Gambang kay....
Just read my blog for updates la since i'm freezing my plurk account...
Don't really ecpect me to go on-line everyday rite?? hah

Till the next time~~~

Hectic orientation week

Hey guys, i'm finally back!!!!

so, pretty obvious that i've just done my 1st week in KMPh

ever wondered how's orientation week??
ever thought that orientation week is just free and easy??

here goes the updates~~~

Orientation Day 1 :

first impression on this matrics was 'gosh, the compound is really big. That means, lots of walking to do...'
After completing those pendaftaran stuff, me dad and mum proceeded to the asrama for the so-called 'official moving in ceremony' with our hands full of luggage and some daily necessities.
then, we did a mini gotong-royong since everything in the room was practically covered with dust. Seriously, there was this tiny winy thought of going home after looking at the room~~~
It took us really a looonng time cleaning and arranging stuff.....
so, foUr person in a room. For me, all my roommates are Malays.
There was this talk for new students about 8pm,
The day ended with me being quite mentally tired and missing my parents already~~~

Orientation Day 2&3 :

Woke up at about 3.30 every single day to avoid being jammed in the washroom. Gosh, now i suddenly realised the importance of sleep when i'm not getting enough of them~~~

With a short meeting at 5.30 and a senaman pagi later on, sleeping at around 1am is certainly NOT ENOUGH!!!

The day was packed with talks to in the morning till afternoon and night while evening was scheduled for 'riadah', which is exercise again......

Even after the night talk ending at around 11, the facilitators aka facis will keep us all front of the fello and sitting in the tar road. while giving some 'lectures', advises and also some scolding.....

Orientation Day 4 :

Was told to wear dark clothes for the evening jungle tracking. Well, literally, dark clothes=getting dirty+filthy.

As expected, all of us went through this knee length dirty water which was still acceptable...

But, imagine the look on our face when this really huge pond of MUD appeared out of nowhere. What the hell is a mud-pond doing in a jungle. Then, reality dawned upon us. The 'jungle tracking' was just an excuse. Their real 'intention' was to get us soak in mud!!!!

Very unwillingly, each of us stepped into this mud-pond which also has a knee-length depth. Well the 'welcome ceremony' doesn't end here. Those past year seniors were already in the pond, splashing mud all over us, wiping mud onto our face~~~
The end product?? A bunch of human-based mud monster was born~~~
To take over the earth?? nah.....
To make the hostel toilet really dirty?? a big yes!!!

Since those mud was the 'premium' quality ones, as in the texture is really thick, i can practically feel the skin on my face hardening.....oh, like doing a facial mask. Only you'll get this for free here...

Well, though it made us really dirty, the whole process was really enjoyable indeed. With screams and grumbles along the way. By the way, the guys got a hell more of it then us. They were 'instructed' to dip their whole body into the pool, like swimming. Imagine that??!!

Though the playing part was somehow enjoyable, the cleaning part was totally #%&*#@*......

Scrubbing the dried mud off our body, shirts and pants, even shoes was really super tiring!!!!
It's as if my hands are gonna get dislodge from my body anytime!!!
To make matter worst, the whole washing room was covered with mud too!!! And those mud stayed for a total of two days before the cleaning lady came.

Orientation Day 5 :

Woke up 10times more tired than usual. But luckily, no extreme activities today was planned for us today. I even slept when the ceramah was going on!!
Orientation week officially ended around 5pm with closing ceremony.

To all those seniors when took the trouble to come back specially to 'train' and guide us, a very big THANK YOU *hugs*
Though we might have hurt or disappoint you guys in anyway, well....i believe that forgiveness is already given right??

So, lectures starting officially next week!!!
And guess what?? I'm doing physics??!!!!

OMG!!!!

I feel super HOMESICK now man~~~
And i'm totally carving for Chonese food!!!!

the dream that did not came through

I hereby declare that Zhi Ying is officially joining the others 6000+ students out there whom FAILED, i repeat F-A-I-L-E-D to secure the all-time-Malaysia's students-favorite aka the 'prestigious' scholarship that we have ever had------JPA Scholarship

Swiping off the sarcastic tone...*sweep,sweep*

At around 1am, an anxious and tired me typed in my IC and there....*smack*!!!
two cold, heartless and cruel words :TIDAK BERJAYA appeared of of nowhere
and dashed my hopes.....
high hopes?? not really...
moderate hopes??perhaps...
but when there's HOPE, DISAPPOINTMENT follows very closely
and the impact of it may be very much higher than those when hoping with high spirits..
my mood and spirit for the day was flushed *all the way down the toilet* away instantly....

But as the saying goes"when one door closes, another door opens"
not getting JPA scholarship isn't the end of the world indeed
life still needs to go on, choices still needs to be made and the path still needs to be taken
thus, my heart is all set for matriculation now
maybe God has something more important and even greater installed for me there
who knows?? *positive thinking rules!!!*

For those out there who got it
millions of Congratulations!!!! raise our flag high and make Malaysia proud man!!!
show the 'Malaysia Boleh' spirit to the world!!!

For those who didn't
take a deep breath, get of of depression(if you still couldn't get over the fact that you're not chosen)
this ain't the first failure you're gonna face in life
if you're still dwelling in it, what about the long road ahead of you?!
get off and hide in the bushes??
nah....lift your chin high, walk with dignity...
as WE, the non-jpa scholars
are gonna strive for the best, study our butts off
and be somebody one day *beware jpa scholars!!!*
for failure is the mother of success~~~
thus, SUCCESS here we come!!!

"I fail, fail and fail many times in my life. And that is why I succeed" - Michael Jordan

that's all for today
last minute packing for matrics awaits me~~~

p/s:the next post will be made in Pahang
whee~~~

Filed a complaint letter to Big Apple Donuts

Although it was just a small matter, me and my friends whom were present still decided to file in a complaint letter as we was extremely frustrated at that moment.

Anyway, i'm actually helping them raise their service standards right??

so, below is the actual complaint i send in via e-mail

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I visited Big Apple Donuts outlet in Kinta City on 7/5/2009 around 5.30pm. My friend approached the cashier counter and asked for a catalog but was turned-down by a Chinese lady staff, wearing a blue top and white pants, in which i think is the manager-on-duty. I'm gonna address her as 'the lady' since she wasn't wearing any name tag. She informed my friend that Big Apple Donuts doesn't provide any catalogs for customers. So, I approached one of the Malay staff and requested for the same thing. He treated me friendly and was about to hand me the catalog(which is made up of vouchers) when he was stopped by the lady. I heard the lady lecturing him that only customers whom have made purchases are entitled to receive those catalogs as they come with vouchers. I was shocked and disappointed with the managers action as i was planning to buy some donuts for my friends whom are still working at that time. Thus, it is necessary for me to bring a catalog as a reference for them as they couldn't be at the specific outlet. The lady even gave me a 'displeased' look when lecturing the staff. In the end, i resorted to picking up a dirty catalog left behind by customers on the table. I'm truly disappointed with the service provided since Big Apple Donuts is a renown international franchise. I have a few question regarding this matter:

1) Is there any written terms and conditions saying that the catalog can only be given to customers whom have made a purchase in Big Apple Donuts?

2) Is it strictly forbidden to hand out catalogs to those whom requested for it but have not made any purchases as it comes with promotion vouchers?

If both the answer is yes for the above questions, then i would strongly suggests that Big Apples Donuts should produce a specific catalog for the needs of customers.

3) What about those customers whom need a catalog but are still not ready to make any purchases?(for example, they need to let their family/friends decide on the choice of donuts. But their family/friends are unable to be present at the outlet) Other than that, wouldn't it be extremely troublesome to have everyone present in order to choose the flavor they prefer when only one person is needed to make the purchase? This is when a catalog comes in handy.

I would like to hear from your company soon regarding this matter.

Thanks for your cooperation.

From,
Frustrated customer

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hopefully they doesn't recognise me as the 'culprit since i've practically bought A LOT , i mean really A LOT from them.....
48 on the 6/5 and 18 on the 7/5.....
who cares anyway??!!

was in a moody state when work started yesterday

many will be leaving soon, very very soon....
and here i am, still unsure of when to hand in my resignation letter

3 of my friends in Sushi king would be doing their tertiary studies in Utar....
they are even staying i the same house!!!
ah, how cool is that~~~

see how friendship brings people together??

that's why i'm really hoping to see some farmiliar faces over at Pahang matriculation

the decision is made

it's set then, if jpa scholarship doesn't have an eye on me,
i'll certainly be goin for the matriculation in Pahang.

yeap, i've finally made up my mind

and to yukana, thanks for the post on matriculation before
it really made me think a lot about myself and my future *ahem*
and it is indeed a blessing from god to be offered such an opportunity
so, why push it away and close the already opened door??

one of my friend whom did her Form 6 even insisted that i accept matriculation immediately
according to her, she was still studying her butts off for stpm while her cousin whom did matrics was already doing medic in USM.....
sense the difference??

well, not accepted worldwide is indeed a negative fact for matrics....
since i think most of us carve to have a chance to further our studies overseas right??
but then, studying never ends like a sentence having a full stop.
so, one could actually still further his/her studies abroad after completing local U with flying colours

at last, another burder removed from my head~~~

to those who are still undecided,
think throughly,
you certainly would not want to make a decision in which you would regret for life later on...

matriculation...yes or no??

good news : i got accepted into matriculation ( the accepting rate for Chinese is quite low, really low i mean)

Bad news : it's in Pahang~~~~ gosh, what a place man ??!! far far away land.....

mum did some research on-line for me......
so, according to her : thumbs up for the facilities(if not, blame the pictures)
but you'll have to take a one-hour drive from Kuantan to reach the centre, which means.....
kampung??!!

ahhh....

parents are encouraging me to go for it (if i fail to secure the other scholarships i applied for)
well, it's a better route than doing Form 6 if i've set my mind to do local U later....

another headache!!!!

decisions...decisions.....still decisions.....

the end of the 4-day craze

physically + mentally exhausted

that is the state that i was in the past four days

just wanna say that it's never easy dealing with customers
especially hungry ones~~~

honestly, i felt that my brain's gonna burst any time at some point(especially at night)

there's always some so-called "problematic" customers giving me serious headache

some really stubborn ones thinks that it's their right not to que.......
but it's totally ok for them to bug me every 5minutes asking me whether it's their turn yet!!!
gosh!!!
really wanna yell at them : For god sake, it's not your turn yet!!!! i'll inform you when it is!!!! please cooperate and line up according to that damn line!!! then, you automatically know when it's your turn!!!! you stupid and annoying #*$@#*%.......

some do not talk much but just stares at you with this "killing stare"
as if they are going to rip you apart anytime if you do not let them in next....
ah, that type do not que up too....

the most annoying ones would be the ah mah type, as in old aunties....
not only they do not line up, they even take up the front place of the que, chipping in every time a customer pays and insisting that the available place is theirs!!!!
damn!!!!
have and i would have to show them their name on the list...(this tells them how "far" their names are until their turn....)

on the last day of sushi bonanza, one particullar customer really got on my nerve~~~~
she did not que, waited for just merely half an hour, bugg me every 5min, and went straight to the manager to complain about me not giving her a place when it's her turn, which is so not true!!!!
i really wanted to serve her green tea made from water after washing my feet!!!!!!
curse her man!!!

of course there's also some well-educated customers with manners.
they waited patiently and utter really lots of "thank you" when it's their turn to dine-in....
a gratefull smile and merely a thanks from them really lighten up my mood....
>>>>>may god bless those abundantly>>>>>>

to sum it up, those four days was really energy-draining but packed with lots of excitement too...
haha, 4 days is really enough for me to cope with...

hpmm....this period is finally over...
things gonna be back to normal
very normal....

1st day of Sushi Bonanza

ever wondered how the recent economy recession affected the community??

just look at the turn up in Sushi King during this promotion period~~~

People are just carving for CHEAP food!!!!

From 11am till 1opm,
the outlet was in a total FULL-HOUSE condition
with a whole bunch of them still waiting outside eagerly to come in!!!
even before 11am, there's already a crowd of around 30 people at the entrance!!!!

the longest que of the day was at 6-8.30pm,
it extended from Sushi King to the end of Vinnci to the entrance of the shop selling watches(opps, i forgot the name~~)
the longest waiting list had a total of 40 something names on it!!!
and, the longest waiting time was about 2 hours,
as in from the time your name appears on the waiting list till you are allowed to enter the outlet for food~~~
gosh!!!

it is really a challenge to keep people queueing up eh??
it seems that people prefer to lingerer and stick around the entrance and suffocate each other rather to line up comfortably until their turn....
And pity me to have to yell out their names on top of my lungs due to the really HUGE crowd~~

one bad things about being in charged of the entrance is that the would be endless complaints about the long waiting time, about how hungry those waiting are, about their feet being tired...etc
sometimes i really feel like telling them in the face thet i've been standing here since 11 in the morning!!! wanna beat me??!!
some even complained the they've waited "very long" though it's just merely 15min....
huh??!!

there was even an uncle who chipped in and asked whether we are giving away free food since there's this huge crowd outside~~~
hahaha.....

Overall, Sushi Bonanza is actually really fun and exciting!!!
just to say that people really show their true colours when exposed to food~~
whenever something usually expensive such as unagi, ebi ten and ebi fry which cost RM6 comes out....
then almost everyone would move out of their seat, rushing to some strategic area to grab those stuff....
gosh, it's not even exaggerating to say that a food war is going on in there!!!

Lastly, to yukana and her friends...
ZHI YING IS SO SORRY ABOUT THE INCIDENT!!!!
though i was just the 'message conveyor" (the manager told me so anyway)
but that table was really occupied by you guys for very a long period lar...
since there's a large crowd waiting outside....
so....hope you guys'll understand kay??
no hard feelings ya??
