Death in the opposite house

Death do comes in an abrupt...
in such an abrupt that most of us are not mentally prepared for it...
so as to accept it...
that he's gone...
gone forever...

a childhood friend,
a big brother to me,
though distant grew between us as we grow,
yet, the shock, the pain that hit me was still really strong
a little too strong to bear
it shook me in such a force that tears,
though i tried my best to hold them,
escaped through my eyes
unstoppable

an early morning super
a ride in a friend's car
a dark and sharp corner
a stationary lorry that shouldn't be there
an emergency break

then, an accident
that took not only one, but two lives
two passenger in the rear seat
a couple
a boy and a girl
both in their early twenties
not knowing that it's their last morning together
yet, death do not part them
it took both of them instead

a tragic to the family
as clouds of sadness covered the whole neighbourhood

Rest In Peace
Ah Man Ko Ko
for this is the last time
the very last time
that i'm gonna call your name
